Congrats to the first Pro-Life Wisconsin scholarship winners

In our continued efforts to recognize and develop pro-life leadership and convictions among Wisconsin’s youth, the Pro-Life Wisconsin Education Task Force offers the Sharon Schumer Memorial Scholarship to two Wisconsin graduating high school seniors.

Sharon Schumer passed away as a young mother. In her short time on earth, before and while she was suffering from cancer, she worked tirelessly to educate and train teen pro-life leaders. In Sharon’s memory, Pro-Life Wisconsin annually awards a $1,000 scholarship to two high school seniors who have shown exemplary pro-life dedication and leadership. These students pledge to continue their pro-life work through college and beyond.

The number of students who apply for this scholarship grows every year, and our selection committee is faced with the difficult task of choosing two winners from a sea of worthy applicants.

The first winner of the 2011 scholarship is Kristin Glomstad , who graduated this week from Aquinas High School in La Crosse.
