MILWAUKEE - An attorney representing victims of sexual abuse in Milwaukee wants to question former Milwaukee and current New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan in connection with money for lawsuit settlements.TMJ4
The lawyer says Dolan may have been responsible for hiding tens of millions of dollars in the archdiocese when he was in charge in Milwaukee for seven years.
Dolan responded, calling the allegations ridiculous.
"I find that there's $70 million that didn't belong to the diocese, but belonging to parishes who were saving it with the Archdiocese," said Dolan.
"My finances department said I needed to return that to the parishes, (and it) should not be under the Archdiocese."
Critics question how any money was able to be moved considering the Archdiocese was considering filing for bankruptcy.
Yep, and the pope and Jesus Christ and .... it was Anderson who pushed the dioceses into bankruptcy in the first place.
