Franciscan Sisters of the Martyr St. George have 13 sisters make final vows

The Franciscan Sisters of the Martyr St. George  have booming vocations.  Their US province is based out of Alton, Ill, and they serve at the Guadalupe Shine and at the Diocese in La Crosse.
On August 15th we celebrated with many Bishops and priests, family and friends with our Sisters who made their next step in religious life.  We give thanks for the gift of thirteen Sisters offering their lives forever to the Lord in perpetual profession, three Sisters making their first profession and two women being received into the Novitiate.  Much grace was poured out upon them this day!  May their hearts always remain open to all the Lord wants to give them.  You can check out more pictures from August 15th on our website and also take a picture tour of the day as well!

I'll bet they were NOT at the LCWR convention in St. Louis!

Did you see the article the State Journal did about a young woman from the Madison area who is joining their postulancy this month? You should really check it out, it was a beautiful article--even from the State Journal of all places!

May i ask the sisters to pray for my dear friend Judy Mole who has a brain tumor . This tumor is a grade three tumor and has made Judy loose most of her memory and she is now having seizures. The treatments Judy takes are very painful on her and she takes two a week. Judy has three wonderful children who try and help Judy as best they can. Please pray for Judy for she is in so much pain.
Thank you and may God bless you.
