Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle. 2 Thes 2:15
St. Ambrose Academy Benefit Dinner scheduled for 12/7/2013
St. Ambrose Academy in Madison will host its annual benefit dinner on Saturday, December 7 (the Feast of St. Ambrose!) at the Alliant Energy Center. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour. Dinner is served at 7:00 p.m. Special guest Bishop Robert Morlino will speak at the event. Entertainment will include music and speeches by St. Ambrose Academy students and alumni.
A few years ago, the event outgrew the Bishop O'Connor Center and moved to a local hotel. When attendance neared 600 last year, it became time to find another new location! I'd encourage all of our readers to attend. In a world where education is too often driven by ideology, St. Ambrose is a true gem. Contact the school office at 608-827-5863 to RSVP. If you can't attend, I'd encourage you to donate online.
I have attended this event since 2008, and it's pretty much THE event in the Madison Diocese each year. The music and speeches are great. But the opportunity to mingle with hundreds of faithful Catholics is an equal draw.
