On Saturday October 18th, 2014 the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Chris S who resides at the end of Wehling Lane in the township of Hamburg. Mr. S reported while viewing photo’s from one of his game camera’s, he found several pictures of Goudensio Gayton which were dated Sunday October 12th, the day Mr. Goudensio Gayton went missing. The time lineindicated the photo’s were taken at7:23 p.m. on Sunday night. The camera was located approx. 2 miles from CTH K, along a wood line, 1 mile from the Schuberthome.
A search of that area was immediately conducted using K-9’s and the Coon Valley Fire Department and Law Enforcement personnel. The search continueduntil dark with search teams unable to locate Goudensio Gayton. Sheriff Spears contacted local fire departments for a larger search effort to begin on Sunday October 19th in that area.
