Green Bay Packers linebacker Julius Peppers entered his name into the NFL record books Thursday night. Then, with some encouragement, he entered into the stands.
Peppers picked off Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder in the second quarter of Thursday night's game and took it 49 yards back for a touchdown. With the interception, the 34-year-old Peppers became the first player in NFL history with 100 sacks and 10 interceptions, according to ESPN Stats and Information.
After the touchdown, Peppers, who is in his first season in Green Bay, seemed hesitant to try the famous "Lambeau leap." But he got some encouragement from Packers safety Morgan Burnett:
Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle. 2 Thes 2:15
Red Hot Julius Peppers
