State Chaplain of KCs of Wisconsin, Fr. Rick Heilman, tours dioceses during Lent
Fr. Heilman is the Wisconsin State Chaplain for the Knights of Columbus, his brother knights are stepping up to make all of the preparations as they help to spread the word about the tour. But, this is offered to all men, whether they are a KC member or not.details at Into The Breach

Hudson KCs wins award for largest council for the sixth consecutive year
St. Croix Council 1762 Knights of Columbus, Hudson, won the 2014 Wisconsin State Deputy Trophy for large councils for the sixth consecutive year and for the 10th time since 1999. The trophy is awarded to the council that accrued the most points through programs and activities in the community, church, council, youth, family and culture of life. Accepting the award at the 114th Knights of Columbus State convention, Green Bay, were (front, from left): Gene Tschumperlin, Jim Michaelson, State Deputy Ron Faust (award presenter), John Gushue, Supreme Executive Vice President Thomas Smith, Jr. (award presenter), and Jim Burns; and (back) Rick Huesbch, Gary Maier, Fr. John Gerritts, Mike Frase, Mike Weseli and Charlie Silver. Along with the trophy, the council received an award for the No. 1 youth service program activity in the state for their involvement with the “Bridge” Bowl-A- Rama fund raiser. GREEN BAY — Standing as devoted defenders of the faith and supporters of the new evangelization are two of the most important tasks facing the Knights of Columbus now and in the future, state bishops said during the 114th annual gathering of the Wisconsin Knights on April 25.continue at The Compass
Green Bay Bishop David L. Ricken, Milwaukee Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki and Madison Bishop Robert C. Morlino joined to concelebrate Mass during the group’s convention at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Green Bay.
“The Knights of Columbus help the dioceses greatly, first as good examples of family men and their families committed to wanting the Catholic way of life,” Bishop Ricken said following Mass attended by nearly 1,400 Knights and their families.
