How the Left Took Things Too Far

Der Spiegel recently ran an article The Sexual Revolution and Children: How the Left Took Things Too Far. What shocks me is what apparently was acceptable for academia to do to children in the name of science.

It is a long, explicit, and incredibly disturbing article, but helps understand what the mindset of 1960s academia was like, and how that darkness helped bring about the exploitation of children in the worst way.
On this issue, the veterans of the late '60s student movement seem to have succumbed to acute amnesia; an analysis of this aspect of the student revolution would certainly be worthwhile.

Nowadays, the stimulation of a child's sex organs by an adult is clearly seen as criminal sexual assault. But for the revolutionaries of 1968, it was an educational tool that helped "create a new person," according to the "Handbook of Positive Child Indoctrination," published in 1971. "Children can learn to appreciate eroticism and sexual intercourse long before they are capable of understanding how a child is conceived. It is valuable for children to cuddle with adults. It is no less valuable for sexual intercourse to occur during cuddling."
This article speaks specifically to the German culture but if you want the American version, look no further than Indiana University's very own Alfred Kinsey.  Basically any "Health" curriculum in a public(and private) school are filled with his work.  While talking about Kinsey, Fr. John Hardon, SJ stated:
It can honestly be said that the strongest assault on sexual restraint in our country has not come from the pornographic fringe or from the popular culture. It came from the respectable domain of science. Sexual psychologists purported to show a wide divergence between real sexual behavior and the publicly espoused norms of morality. By implication the moral norms surrounding sex behavior needed to be revised.

In my judgment the growing sex education of children is part of this crusade of moral revision. The reflections that follow will be drawn from a fairly common denominator of the religion textbooks used in Catholic schools to teach sex education.

It is time for the Left to repent of accepting this kind of "science" and removing all of Kinsey's work from education.  Of course, that's impossible when you have "acute amnesia."
