Yet another way that Spring Bank maintains the Cult of the Dead is its commitment to offering the Gregorian Series of Masses for the dead. For several decades, we have accepted contracts agreeing to offer Mass for the repose of the soul of an individual for 30 consecutive days after we are notified of the death. In recent years, we were on of the last monasteries to participate in this tradition that goes back to the time of Pope St. Gregory the Great. Thankfully, more houses are once again offering the Gregorian Series.
