The news that UW (11-1, No. 5 in the Bowl Championship Series standings) will face TCU (12-0, No. 3 BCS) in the Rose Bowl (4 p.m., ESPN) was somewhat anticlimactic.JSOnline
UW's players and coaches had anticipated a trip to the Rose Bowl since crushing Northwestern, 70-23, in the Big Ten Conference finale on Nov. 27. TCU, champion of the Mountain West Conference, had always been the anticipated opponent.
Nevertheless, the excitement and anticipation in the voice of Bielema and the six captains was palpable Sunday night.
With No. 1 Auburn (13-0) and No. 2 Oregon (12-0) set to face off in the BCS title game on Jan. 10 in Glendale, Ariz., UW has been given the opportunity to face the only other unbeaten team in the nation.
"To me this could be the No. 2 (bowl) game in the country," senior left guard John Moffitt said. "We're all excited about the opportunity. I've heard it is just incredible."
January 1st, 4pm. St. Therese the Little Flower, ora pro nobis!

Congratulations. Since it's not Ohio State or U of M (and since MSU kicked your butts. HA!), I will be rooting for a decisive Badger win over TCU.
Haha, Thanks Larry. MSU did get the short end of the stick this year. Funny thing is if this situation were to happen next year, MSU and WI would have a rematch in the conference championship game to decide who goes. That seems like a good idea(especially when its not OSU or U of M). ;)
