The diocese also noted in the letter with Thursday’s date that it is not facing any liability judgments.
The letter comes after a Gannett Wisconsin Media story questioned whether the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay could follow a similar path as the Milwaukee’s Archdiocese, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection earlier this month amid fraud lawsuits fueled by sex abuse cover-ups.
