Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle. 2 Thes 2:15
Abp Listecki visits Fond du Lac school
FDLReporter
Yeah, I'm not sure about letting kids play with the miter and crosier either. It wasn't too long ago that a Abp Weakland favorite who is now a priest in Fond du Lac has been advocating for women priests in this same newspaper. I was wondering if he was one of the priests pictured in some of the other photos. And no, I do not like the Gymnasium Mass. I'll hold my rant off for another time.

If I remember correctly, I think that chasuble is one of the ones that the pope gave to all of the american bishops in DC. Our bishop showed us his, and the one in the pics above looks mighty familiar...
Of course, I might be wrong, but that's my hunch...
Also, not crazy about the gym mass, or playing with the pontificals, but I'll also hold back my rant.
Now, now. Before we get too crazy, no, our favorite "wondering" priest is not, from what I saw, in the photos. Also, it appears in the photos that the archbishop is doing the miter/crosier thing during his homily. There was probably something in his homily about it, much in the way Bishop Morlino does his "zuchetto thing." Other photos show a very properly attired crosier bearer, so I would assume the rest was on the up-and-up. We should probably remember our duty to charity, here :)
I don't really like gym Masses, either, but when you have several thousand individuals, you have to put them somewhere. Wouldn't it be awesome if our cathedrals could fit that many? And did so regularly?
I'm not saying Listecki supports Capriolo radical positions. In fact, I meant to point out that Listecki appeared to be giving one of his talks about what a bishop does(beats away wolves with his crosier). I pray for Abp Listecki every day. I think he relates well to average people and children, and despite terrible circumstances is doing a great job in Milwaukee. All I said was I wasn't sure about it, not even necessarily that it's "bad".
These types of visits do present their logistical problems. But couldn't they all pray the rosary together in the gym? Couldn't the older students then be invited to the largest local parish church for Mass? I suppose another topic is the heralded Childrens Mass, which seems self defeating. But it'd be a post worth of comments.
