Eau Claire, Wis., - Earlier today, February 11, hundreds of people in the community gathered at Sacred Heart Hospital to attend a special Mass and Community Gathering in observance of the 19th Annual World Day of Prayer for the Sick.Sacred Heart
The Mass, which was celebrated by Bishop William Callahan of the Diocese of La Crosse, honored those who are sick and suffering, and was an occasion of prayer and support for the countless caregivers devoted to caring for the sick.
This year’s Mass was dedicated to Father Lawrence Dunklee, former Director of the Center for Spiritual Care at Sacred Heart Hospital, who passed away last month after a brief battle with cancer. A community gathering with Bishop Callahan followed the Mass. Both events were open to the public.
Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle. 2 Thes 2:15
