Efforts to restore St Thomas Univ Catholicity

I thought you'd be interested in some positive news from my alma mater, the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, MN. I keep tabs on happenings over there, especially news from the Center for Catholic Studies (http://www.stthomas.edu/cathstudies/), whose undergraduate Catholic Studies program helped make me the man I am today.

We have a great priest at the helm of Campus Ministry, we have well-attended daily Masses twice a day on weekends. We have pretty-much nonstop Eucharistic adoration Mon-Fri that is student-led, Confessions are heard every day Mon-Fri for an hour, and there are a plethora of Catholic events going on on campus, such as Bible Studies, community meals, and pro-life prayer vigils.

We also have Catholic men's and women's residences, a Catholic Men's Floor in one of our men's dormitories, and a Catholic Women's floor in one of our women's dormitories that are tight-knit communities go to daily Mass and pray the liturgy of the Hours together. All are refreshing viable alternatives to the usually hedonistic dorm culture.

Plus, Archbishop Nienstedt is active and involved and visits campus at least once a month during the academic year to teach students Lectio Divina.
