We drove quite a ways to get to the talk Sunday night. Had to have been an audience of between 200-300 people only. Talk about a wonderful chance to meet Mr. Madrid, talk with him and get books signed! He spoke only about an hour Sunday night - on the topic of atheism - and didn't get to answering questions because he took in mass at 7pm at Notre Dame.
We topped off the gas tank and headed back for more on Monday evening. He gave his talk: "Why I am a Catholic when I could be anything else." He started at 7pm and was just going to start entertaining questions at 9pm. Since we had a 2-hour drive we needed to leave - I was soooooo bummed. Taking in the question-and-answer session was one of the main reasons we headed back up to Chip. Falls Monday night...but, as it was, we were picking up our sleeping children from a friends house at 11:30pm!! (Many thanks J&D!!)

There are some great Priests in the Eau Claire, Chip. Falls area, and Sacred Heart Hospital is more Catholic than the typical Catholic hospital.
