Pro-Life Wisconsin: Saved by a Sign

Life at 12 weeks
From Pro-Life Wisconsin:

We have shared some of the experiences from this spring’s 40 Days for Life effort. Here’s three of the best just from yesterday, March 21.
From 40 Days for Life Green Bay:

We were approached by a beautiful young woman, today, with a smile beaming across her face. She said she had to thank us and let us know, “You don’t know the effect you are having on the people in these buildings, We are watching you.”  She shared how she had found herself pregnant, and, “I was in school and 40 years old and I didn’t know if I could do it again.”  She was planning an abortion but kept seeing, “You ladies with your signs.”
With a proud voice she opened her phone to a picture and said, “This is Vernon.  He’s 4 months old.”  (What a cute baby and he had the biggest smile ever!)  Mom had now graduated, and was just on her way home from a job interview when she stopped to share her story with us.
Her parting words were “keep doing what you are doing.”
I feel that sign someone carried was God’s whisper to her heart, to affirm what she already knew.  “Abortion hurts Women.” Baby Vernon was saved by a sign on Webster.
From 40 Days for Life Sheboygan (coordinated solely by teens in the area!):
Everything has been going so well for the campaign so far!  God is good!  The pro-life rally was a great place for people to sign up, and after the rally, we only had four days that had no sign ups on them yet.  The Monday after the rally, we had our team meeting and prayed that at those days would be filled.  Three of the days were in a row on a weekend and the other day was a Sunday in April.  The day after our meeting, a family who had wanted to sign up sent us an e-mail asking if those particular days, the three empty ones in a row, were open.  They had no idea that we had no one on those days and that we had been praying for those days to be filled.  The whole team was so excited when we heard that!  It was like God was showing us that He is in control over this whole thing and he won’t let us go.  We all saw that as a direct answer to prayer.
While the team was out there on Wednesday, we saw a few teens in the parking lot behind us.  When they drove out and passed us, they all waved and looked excited for us.  One girl mouthed the words to us, “I chose life.”  Even if we had nothing to do with what she chose, it was still so good to see others respond in a great way.  As we stood out there, quite a few semi trucks beeped their horns for us too.
From 40 Days for Life Milwaukee:
Today, at about 10 am, a young, late teens/early twenty-something, red-head and her middle aged father were headed to ‘Hell with Doors.’ Thankfully, they didn’t do their homework, as the abortion mill is almost always closed on Mondays.  The ‘grandfather’ tellingly, was leading the way, and pulled on the door to the abortion mill.  He buzzed and buzzed on ‘Hell’s Doorbell’ to no avail, saying nothing. While they were waiting in ‘Hell’s Portal,’ one of our vigilers told them that, “There’s all sorts of free help across the street – free ultrasounds and pregnancy tests.  Why don’t you guys go across the street and get some good, free help.”  The young red-head responded, “Yeah, Dad, we’re here to get help!” Red and her father then turned around as she tugged on her dad’s arm.  The grandfather never made eye contact with us, looking away or down to the side with pursed lips.  Red-head looked to us with her blue eyes as if to say, “Thank you.”  Body language 101 – she is being coerced.  When ‘Red’ came out with her father about 10:49am, she wasn’t carrying anything other than a yellow piece of paper and some other papers.  She was holding them to her upper abdomen.  Usually, the young mom’s come out of this CPC with a bag of some sort, but she didn’t have one.  I could tell they were talking to one another.  ‘Red’ was leading them now.  Her father had one hand in his pocket and the other was held up to his right temple, as if he had a headache.
The ‘grandfather’s’ body language told me one thing for sure.  Pray for this young mom and her family.  The fact that ‘Red’ wanted to get good help tells me that she wants to keep the baby.  Her father’s willingness to go across the street without an argument or any spoken words whatsoever between the two at ‘Hell’s Portal’ make me think he was embarrassed to have been seen at the abortion mill, she is their youngest daughter and they will let her do what she wants, but not without a fight.  Please storm the heavens with your prayers for this brave, young woman.  I feel she is going to need all the help she can get.
