Dr. Russell Hittinger, the Warren Professor of Catholic Studies at the University of Tulsa, will discuss “What St. Benedict Taught the Dark Ages: His and Ours” in a lecture at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 14, in the auditorium of the O’Shaughnessy Educational Center on the St. Paul campus of the University of St. Thomas.St Thomas

Hittinger is widely recognized for his work on Catholic social thought and on natural law. His lecture will focus on the current state of American culture and its implications for Catholics.
He is a member of the Pontifical Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas and the Pontifical Academy for Social Science. He has written many articles and books, including The First Grace: Rediscovering Natural Law in a Post-Christian Age and Thomas Aquinas and the Rule of Law.
