An op-ed thanking a bishop!

Thank you Bishop Callahan (05/01/2011) From: Don and Peggy Lilla

The Reverend Joseph M. O’Hara, Parochial Administrator of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Pine Creek, Wis., was appointed Pastor, effective April 15, 2011. Thank you Bishop Callahan for selecting Father O’Hara to fulfill this position.

For those who have never been to our beautiful country church, we invite you to visit us. Church services are Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 8:30 a.m. We live in Winona, where we have many beautiful churches; Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is second to none when it comes to beauty. Stop in and see our beautiful church, which has just been refurbished, to celebrate our 150 birthday November 2012.

Thanks to Charlie and Rick Kramer for the wonderful job they did painting. The beautiful wainscoting was donated by church members Mike and Donna Waletski and installed by Gary Hoff, the carpeting by Lyle’s Flooring and the many hours spent by church members reinstalling the pews and tiding up the church.

Please come and visit us, but we suggest coming early, as there is so much to see - our beautiful altar, communion rail, and Stations of the Cross. You will be amazed and in awe. When visiting our parish check out our well-kept cemetery.

Don’t forget our spring and fall dinners. You won’t find a better home-cooked meal in the country!

On Sunday mornings after Mass, don’t forget to have coffee and donuts with Father O’Hara. You will find immediately why we are so lucky to have Father O’Hara as our Pastor.

Thank you again Bishop William P. Callahan!
Winona Post

Did you know Winona, unlike La Crosse, has more than one newspaper?  Maybe I'll win the lottery someday.   Fr. O'Hara, I must find your story where you beat up some thugs stealing from your church.
