Grand Ducal Family of LuxembourgGrand Dukes Adolphe and William IV were Protestants. In the contract of William's marriage to the Catholic Marie Anne of Portugal, it was agreed that any sons would be brought up as Protestants and any daughters as Roman Catholics. The marriage produced no sons. Consequently, the religion of the House of Nassau changed to Roman Catholic when daughters of William succeeded to the throne.
My wife is like 99.5% Luxembourgish.

The Grand Ducal Family of Luxembourg is one of the few royal families that still holds true to the Catholic faith. The Grand Duke did everything in his power to block a law legalizing assisted suicide (he lost in the end).
I am not sure how many children the family has but I think one is at a Catholic Uni in Rome and one of the daughters is studying Bioethics as Franciscan University in Steubenville Ohio.
Wow, very interesting Anon! Royalty at Steubenville!
