"Know also that you will probably gain more by praying fifteen minutes before the Blessed Sacrament than by all the other spiritual exercises of the day. True, Our Lord hears our prayers anywhere, for He has made the promise, 'Ask, and you shall receive,' but He has revealed to His servants that those who visit Him in the Blessed Sacrament will obtain a more abundant measure of grace."
"Certainly amongst all devotions, after that of receiving the sacraments, that of adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament holds first place, is most pleasing to God, and most useful to ourselves. Do not then, O devout soul, refuse to begin this devotion; and forsaking the conversation of men, dwell each day, from this time forward, for at least half or quarter of an hour, in some church, in the presence of Jesus Christ under the sacramental species. Taste and see how sweet is the Lord."
"The sovereigns of the earth do not always grant audience readily; on the contrary, the King of Heaven, hidden under the eucharistic veils, is ready to receive anyone…"

It also happens to be the 8th anniversary of Bishop Morlino’s installation as 4th bishop of Madison.
PS> Is anybody else worried Bp. Morlino might go to the vacancy in Denver?

Hello Matt, this is Brian from northeast Illinois. Regarding your PS, it will be very interesting to see who goes to Denver to replace Archbishop Chaput. I am wondering if it might be Bishop Ricken of Green Bay, since he was a Priest in Colorado originally, and then the Bishop of Wyoming for almost eight years. Only time will tell......
I have my doubts on Morlino moving to Denver, although he may be a good fit. During his homily today on his anniversary, he seemed to dispel the idea that he could be moving soon. He made it very clear that "Madison is the place I am called to find Jesus", while also stating that there are ways to make it clear a bishop is looking for a move and that he has not done such. Brian: That is also a possibility but I would think with everything going on at the Shrine that he is much too involved there at this point to make a big move.
Bill: I hope you are right.
(This is Brian): I agree with you about Bishop Ricken and the Shrine. What about Bishop Alexander Sample of Marquette going to Denver? My parents and I have property in the western U.P. (Wakefield, Michigan). Bishop Sample visited Wakefield last year in regards to the Marquette Diocesan Appeal. He'll be coming there again in about ten days for a special Mass. He's a great Bishop, and we wouldn't want to lose him, but I have to wonder how much longer he'll be in Marquette.
Yes, Bishop Sample is a very interesting person to consider. He is good friends with Cdl Burke and is rock solid. I always thought he'd be taking over Detroit in time though. Of course geography these days doesn't mean as much. He certainly won't be staying in Marquette until retirement. I think he would be fantastic wherever he goes.
(Brian): In the meantime, we have to pray for the next U.S. Papal Nuncio. I understand that until a new one is named by Pope Benedict XVI, there won't be any U.S. Bishop appointments. Stay tuned! :)
(Brian from Illinois): Matt, as an interesting follow up to this, I recently spoke to Karen Tipps at the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help, who we've known for several years. She believes that Bishop Ricken won't be in Green Bay much longer. When I told her what you said before about how he's got too much involvement at the Shrine, she reminded me that (then) Bishop Burke was moved to St. Louis from LaCrosse in the middle of construction for the OLG Shrine. Bishop Morlino could also be moved as well, especially with San Francisco, Denver, and now Baltimore looking for new Archbishops. Stay tuned!
This is very interesting Brian, thanks for sharing(sorry just getting caught up now).
