Rally for Religious Freedom to be held in Wisconsin

On Friday, March 23 from noon to 1 p.m., Pro-Life Wisconsin-Milwaukee County and Vigil for Life/Pro-Life Wisconsin-Dane County will join dozens of cities across the United States in standing up for religious freedom. View the entire list of cities here.

In protest of the recent Health and Human Services mandate that forces employee health plans to cover contraception — including abortifacient birth control — we’ll be on hand praying and peacefully witnessing at the following locations:

Madison
U.S. District Courthouse
120 N. Henry Street (Map)

Milwaukee
Federal Building
310 West Wisconsin Avenue (Map)

As Pro-Life Action League noted, in light of the U.S. Senate’s failure on March 1 to pass the Blunt Amendment,  these rallies across the U.S. are needed now more than ever.

Senator Roy Blunt (R-Missouri) offered Senate Amendment No. 1520 to S. 1813, the highway authorization bill, to protect the right to religious liberty against the Obamacare rule mandating that religious institutions provide coverage for abortion-inducing drugs, contraceptives, and sterilization. The Blunt Amendment was defeated on a bi-partisan 51 to 48 vote by adoption of a motion to table, or kill, the measure.
