Fr Rick Heilman led an opening prayer. Some of the speakers drew attention to the fact that no Wisconsin organization has yet signed on to the coordinated lawsuits against the HHS Mandate, and that is what the "Wisconsin File Suit" signs refer to. The Alliance Defense Fund is a group willing to represent any organization or business that wants to join the suit, for free.

Sister Maria Christi of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist spoke from her heart. This wonderful order is focused on Catholic education was formed in 1996 but has grown by extraordinary leaps and bounds, there are now 100 sisters.

Looks like a great turnout! And, unlike in Madison, they didn't have to contend with an appearance by a dozen Freedom from Religion friends.

Ugh. Chicago had a handful of protesters too. And I think Detroit has some too.

Wish I would have taken pictures at the Madison rally. We did have folks there from the "Freedom from Religion" foundation, but their noise-making really only lasted the 1st 20 min or so. There was 1 man who outlasted the rest, but even he seemed to fall silent in the last 20 min to 1/2 hr. It was an awesome moment when Fr. Rick led all of us in the 'Our Father' prayer for all of our additional "guests." After closing the rally with patriotic songs, Fr. Rick led all who wanted to participate in the 'Chaplet of Divine Mercy.' It was AMAZING seeing so many souls KNELT together in PRAYER on the concrete in front of the courthouse! Praised be Jesus Christ!!

By the way, ROSARY RALLIES begin on Thursday, June 21st, at 7pm at the Capitol! We are meeting at the top of State St and will continue the rallies through November 1st! :) See you there!!
