UW-Richland Center hosts "First Freedom: Religious Liberty and the Dignity of the Human Person"

Presenter: Benedict T. Nguyen, M.T.S., J.D./J.C.L.
Visiting Assistant Professor and Assistant to the Director for the Institute for Pastoral Theology (IPT) of Ave Maria University. He is also the Upper School Dean at Providence Academy in La Crosse where he teaches Scripture, Religion, Latin, Greek,
Logic, and Music.
For several years, he served as the Chancellor for the Roman Catholic Diocese of La Crosse where he was also the Director of Communications, a Defender of the Bond in the Diocesan Tribunal, and was a five-term President of the Board for Catholic
Charities. He continues to serve as a canonical and legal consultant to the Diocese of La Crosse and various non-profit and religious organizations across the country. He is also a Visiting Lecturer for the Liturgical Institute at Mundelein Seminary in Chicago.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Liturgical Musicology at the University of Kansas, a masters degree in Theological Studies from the University of Dallas, a Pontifical Licentiate degree in Canon Law from the Catholic University of America and a Juris Doctorate law degree from the Hamline University School of Law.
He is currently completing a Doctorate of Ministry in Biblical Exposition at Nashotah House Theological Seminary. He and his wife Elizabeth have five children.

Has practiced law for over 35 years. A 1975 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and holds a law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
Dr. Andrew Wright: A Catholic family physician with specialized training in high-risk obstetrics. He practices the full breadth of family medicine. He and his wife teach Natural Family Planning and have four children.
