February snow roundup

Gotta love Dominic Pio's smile
I got a chuckle when JS made every effort to avoid the Burke question in their Pope Benedict coverage.  They did feel obliged to mention him with no further commentary.

Dominic's father Mark was interviewed on Relevant Radio.  Here is a link to the audio archives if you would like to listen to it.

350 people to enter Catholic Church in Milwaukee this Easter (Arch Listecki email - no link)
On the First Sunday of Lent, I was in the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist for the Rite of Election. Approximately 350 persons from various parishes in the archdiocese gathered together to be officially called as the Elect (catechumenates) and candidates (those seeking admission to the sacraments of Eucharist and confirmation).
I'm headed to the Madison Men's Conference today.  I'll get some pictures.  I'm hoping to get down to Holy Redeemer if time allows.  Please pray for safe travel with the snow.

Bishop Callahan will be at the La Crosse Cathedral for 12:10pm Mass and Stations of the Cross at 5:10pm for the Feast of the Chair of St. Peter.  I forgot to post this earlier this week.

Speaking of forgot, sorry if I haven't had a chance to follow up with you via email yet.

There's a group of 12 or so coming to the conference from Saints Peter and Paul in Wisconsin Rapids. Some are headed down right after lunch to pray at the 40 Days for Life vigil before heading to the conference site. Maybe you can connect with them at the conference :-)

I can't believe I'd ever defend the JS on anything Catholic-related, but in reference to the "Burke Question" I'm nto so sure it's really that much of a question and thus intentional avoidance, especially in the mainstream media.

Those who seriously follow the Church and are keeping eyes and ears open for well thought out papabile lists know that Burke is on some lists and for good reason. However, those that don't follow such wouldn't have a clue. I think they treated Burke the same as they did Harvey, because they genuinely consider them both in the "no chance" category.

For the record, Burke would be wonderful!

Well you are right Josh, but wouldn't a local paper take the local angle?
