Yes, the commentary was pretty awful. For someone who apparently lives in Rome (the lady referred to ‘her parish’ there…) she seemed lost once the helicopter left Vatican airspace. She failed to note the Arch of Constantine and even the Coliseum until they were past it. Then what she described as “some local airport” was in fact Ciampino Airport – Rome’s main airport until 1961 when Fiumicino was completed.
It has been almost 50 years since I lived in Rome and I could still recognize more of the landscape…
Thank you for sharing this video! I was able to hear some of the commentary on Relevant Radio that morning, but had to go in to the office, so lost the opportunity to see any of his departure. This video put me in tears... Thank you SO much!!
