On Saturday, more than two thousand people attended Hearts United 2013: Eucharistic Rosary Rally for Peace and the Family at the fairgrounds. Dick Boldin and the Rosary Evangelization Apostolate sponsored the event, which featured speakers and personal testimonies on the importance and power of the rosary in the lives of Catholics. What turned out to be providential is that Pope Francis called for all Catholics to join him in universal prayers for peace to be offered at exactly the same time that the rally was taking place. The prophetic nature of the moment cannot be ignored. We prayed with the Pope for peace and we did so by calling for the intercession of the Queen of Peace.
