Hosted by the Diocese of Winona, parishioners, organization
leaders, parish and school leaders will have an opportunity to attend a one day
comprehensive nationally conference on the essential tools and skills needed to
harness the power of new media for the new evangelization.
This is an excellent opportunity for parish and school
webmasters, social network administrators and all ministry leaders or anyone
who would like to use new media to enhance and strengthen their ministry and

Three nationally recognized speakers will provide dynamic
presentations and inspire you and teach you how to use new media such as
websites, social media and e-marketing to promote the Gospel values that are
critically needed in our culture.
•Brandon Vogt is a Catholic author, speaker, and new
media expert. He blogs at BrandonVogt.com and is the author of The Church and
New Media: Blogging Converts, Online Activists, and Bishops Who Tweet.
•Matthew Warner is a full-time CEO (Flocknote) who
founded Tweet Catholic, blogs for the National Catholic Register, and manages a
popular blog, Fallible Blogma.
•Josh Simmons is the founder and CEO of eCatholic, one
of the largest providers of Catholic websites in the country. Before launching
eCatholic, he also worked in the Church for several years as a Youth Minister,
Director of Faith Formation, and Music Minister.
Topics include: how to perfect your website, building your
social network, and avoiding the dangers of the digital continent. The day also
includes a 30-minute media makeover, in which the presenters will build a
dynamic website and social media presence in 30 minutes. Plus there will be
time to ask the experts your questions!
Cost: $50 (includes lunch and breaks). Diocese of Winona
attendees are eligible for a $25 discount from the Diocese of Winona Foundation
Faith Formation Endowment. Discount will be applied during registration.
