CHAMPION - Think you could walk almost 50 miles?continue at Fox11
People from an area church laced up their shoes over the weekend to do just that.
It's part of the third annual Walking Pilgrimage - a walk done out of, what organizers say, love and faith.
The walk started Friday at Holy Cross Parish in Kaukauna.
It wrapped up Sunday at "The Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help" in Champion.
They braved a little rain, but completed the close-to-50 mile walk.
Those involved say the walkers encourage each other every step of the way.
"They are complimenting each other making sure they have enough strength to continue on and as they stop each time they just make sure that everyone is safe, making sure everyone's well fed, making sure they're able to go on," said Mark Ebben, a deacon at Holy Cross Parish.
Therefore, brethren, stand fast; and hold the traditions which you have learned, whether by word, or by our epistle. 2 Thes 2:15
