Pro-Life group denied fair booth in Elkhorn

Elkhorn — An anti-abortion group is accusing the Walworth County Fair Foundation of discrimination for denying its request for a booth at this summer's fair.

A Janesville Gazette report says Peter's Net promotes Catholic teachings. Its members accuse the fair of not letting them return this year because of their religious and anti-abortion views.

The group's attorney sent a letter to the fair foundation seeking a response by Wednesday.

Fair spokeswoman Susan Pruessing says the foundation received the letter Tuesday and had no immediate comment.

Peter's Net had a booth at last year's fair, but the letter says fair officials wouldn't let the group return this year, in part because it received at least one complaint.

The group says the fair officials' actions constitute "unlawful discrimination."

Does anyone have a contact for the group?  Are they out of the parish in Elkhorn?  I'll reach out to them to get details.

It's a group from Chicago, I believe. It's a sub-group of CatholicCulture.org.
