This is a statement I received from Julie Wolf, spokesperson for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee regarding the recent video homily which many people (including me) took to be a purposeful insult to Pope Benedict.via Creative Minority Report
MILWAUKEE – Archbishop Jerome Listecki is aware of the situation and has communicated with Deacon Sites about his comments in the parish video. While the delivery of Deacon Site’s message could have been more succinct, it’s clear, when you hear the entire message that his intention was not to insult the Holy Father. Unfortunately his presentation could have left that impression.
I can't wait for the next episode!

Glad to hear that much. I hope the AB is also in touch with the deacon about ending the parish's flouting church law (and lapses in judgment).
There is no statement here. Simple deflection.
Sorry, but I don't buy it. There's nothing "clear" about his whole message that he didn't intend to take a slap at Benedict. I watched the whole vid several times, and it seems like a clear slap straight at him. Also, did the diocese not see the other, first video? It's much worse. Overall, seems like a cop-out to me.
That statement is lame.
