Simultaneous spewing roundup

My first experience with four kids puking simultaneously.  I guess it's better they all get it at once.  It's been months since I did a roundup.  Turns out, real blogging takes time.

Up all night I ran across this which I got a kick out of.  I liked Gravity btw, especially the Catholic "Easter egg" in there as well.

Speaking of simultaneous spewing,

I find it more and more interesting those people that are uncomfortable with the size of my family.  An acquaintance made some comments yesterday, nothing outlandish but she was clearly uncomfortable with all these babies I got hangin around. But then again, she also told me she felt uncomfortable when the on duty priest says prayers over the intercom at Franciscan Skemp(yeah, I'm like diabolic oppression much?). I got the impression that she might be suffering from an abortion, there's probably alot of people who talked themselves into not being able to handle a baby and then when they see that handling babies doesn't bother some of us, maybe that plays into that silent suffering, especially for someone who wont seek forgiveness for what they have done. But heck, I've seen priest uncomfortable with the size of our family. My wife was asked in confession one time if she knew how NFP worked. Oh yeah, a traditional Catholic chided me a bit this week at the gym; take it easy, you know, if I got how all that biology worked. Point it I guess it's enough to make anyone uncomfortable, you know, babies, especially the kind loaded with puke and poop. The funny thing is they aren't really sure why though. They've never been to our house, seen our kids in action, how would they really know what they are talking about. Opinions are like ... [somethings]... I guess. Everybody's got one. Four puking kids doesn't sound so fun, but I am reminded how much God must enjoy when we rely on Him for our needs. It's nice to be needed.  I'll recall these days fondly when I'm older and they are gone.

Speaking of, did I tell you I now get 7 weeks paid for paternity leave?!?!  Yes, my wonderful, splendid German overlords.  I'm not off now, I can take it within a year.  I have ideas of a tour de force around the state doing church visits.  Road trip time.  Remember back in the day when I posted church pictures?  Or found those gems in the archives?

Wisconsin Women's Voices in the Square "Come and See" Meeting April 12th in Marshfield.  Local TV station did an interview with the leader of the group.
Catholic women of Central Wisconsin ages 18-98! The bishops have said there is a secular tsunami coming our way! Are you concerned with the world we will leave our children and grandchildren if we don't make our voices heard in the public square? "Where is the public square?" you might ask. Does my voice matter? you might wonder. Voices in the Square is a new apostolate that emboldens the Catholic woman through media and communications training, infusing courage in her to enter the public forum and to use her voice to speak the Truth of Christ and turn this culture around. Come and See what God can do through you at the next Voices in the Square meeting on Saturday, April 12th from 8 to 10 AM in the Our Lady of Peace Administrative Building Conference Room in Marshfield. For more information and to register, go to http://www.voicesinthesquare.org/ or call 715-387-1317.

A physician who works for the prestigious Mayo Clinic has written a new factsheet that admits abortions harm women. Roger W. Harms, M.D., a Mayo Clinic obstetrician and medical editor-in-chief, also says abortions can cause women problems with subsequent pregnancies.

With all the Fischer More bruhah, I still have this Bp. Ricken founded college as one of the top two along with Christendom on my list of Catholic colleges.  Slowly, I'm hoping to start reaching out to see if the bishops of the state would be interested in doing interviews or answering questions for Badger Catholic readers.  Apparently a night of sick kids gives me plenty of time to blog.  Maybe there's a better way to find some spare time...

I am per usual, way behind on emails.  It's not you, it's me.  Really.

That's it for overnight, elbow deep reflections.  Time for a quick nap before I'm off to work.

I'm so sorry to hear that your children are sick. Prayers flying up for all of you! When you take your "Tour de Force" don't forget St. Mary's Ridge! We still celebrate an Extraordinary Form high Mass every Sunday at 12:00 noon. The sanctuary renovation (NOT wreckovation) is completed and a new marble altar mensa will be installed and consecrated August 20th. The rebuilt organ will be installed by mid-July. Come, enjoy, let me enjoy your children!

they are gone.

Not to worry. They won't be. And they'll bring THEIR kids.

Thanks Father, I'm hoping to make it up there, it has been a while for us, the long winter has kept us close to home. I have wanted to see the new renovation!
