If dog bites man, a lawsuit probably settles at mediation. If ArchMil bankruptcy doesn't settle, that's not news.
Earlier today, Annysa Johnson reported at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that, after a third mediation, Bankruptcy settlement talks fail between Milwaukee archdiocese, creditors. So it's back to federal court.
"The bankruptcy will hinge in large part now on a pending decision by the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in a related lawsuit over $60 million the archdiocese holds in a special trust for the maintenance of its cemeteries."
