Crucifix stolen from Wis. Rapids church

Authorities are asking for help in finding a crucifix stolen from a church.

At 10:13 a.m. Oct. 20, officers responded to a report of the theft of a 2-foot tall crucifix, valued at about $910, from SS. Peter and Paul Church, 1110 First St. N., Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin Rapids Police Lt. Brian Krzykowski said.

The crucifix is gold in color with a silver Jesus. It has a stand with scroll-type decorations, Krzykowski said.

A video surveillance camera captured an unknown female with long, dark and somewhat curly hair wandering through the church. She also was in the room where the crucifix was standing, Kryzkowski said.

Excellent. It's 2014 and we still don't use cameras that shown any sort of detail. Also I wouldn't suggest putting a bug screen in front of the camera. That being said this is still a better image than most gas stations or banks for that matter.
