A fraternity of Chicago nuns desperately needs your help. The sisters of Fraternite Notre Dame in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood have no heating right now during Chicago’s coldest time of year. Their boiler broke and they don’t have the $40,000 needed for repairs. These nuns feed 200 homeless people each and every day and right now they are staying warm using only 4 space heaters. Sister Marie-Valerie says, “We have faith in God” that someone will help them. Chicago talk show, “Windy City LIVE,” is asking for your help to keep these nuns warm during these historic low temperatures. Please donate what you can.GoFundMe
Update: I didn't realize this at the time but these nuns are not in communion with the Catholic Church.

FYI: This order is not in communion with the Catholic Church. That does not take away from its charitable work, but it is schismatic.
So, they should freeze?????
Sedevacantists or not; They make some killer baked-goods and provide outreach to a really troubled part of town.
Freezing is not the reason for the comment. It's merely a clarification if someone wants to give specifically to Catholic groups. It's a Catholic blog, after all!
They may be sedevacantist but they go into one of the nastiest parts of Chicago everyday and feed people. That's a darn sight more than what most our in communion orders are doing.
I'm Surprised that the poor nuns sleeping in freezing rooms....so cold the holy water froze, couldn't receive a little help from the Fraternite's seamlessly endless amount of funds. You see I own a home in Marengo across the street from the multi million dollar estate where "His Excellency Bishop Jean Marie" Resides. Well over a million dollars in real estate purchases in the last couple years. Perhaps instead of letting those poor nuns freeze "His Excellency" could've dipped into the money slated to develop the land he is currently proposing re-zoning with Mc Henry County. http://mchenrycountyil.iqm2.com/Citizens/Detail_Meeting.aspx?ID=3384
You see sometimes things are not what they seem.
