Hudson KCs wins award for largest council for the sixth consecutive year

St. Croix Council 1762 Knights of Columbus, Hudson, won the 2014 Wisconsin State Deputy Trophy for large councils for the sixth consecutive year and for the 10th time since 1999. The trophy is awarded to the council that accrued the most points through programs and activities in the community, church, council, youth, family and culture of life. Accepting the award at the 114th Knights of Columbus State convention, Green Bay, were (front, from left): Gene Tschumperlin, Jim Michaelson, State Deputy Ron Faust (award presenter), John Gushue, Supreme Executive Vice President Thomas Smith, Jr. (award presenter), and Jim Burns; and (back) Rick Huesbch, Gary Maier, Fr. John Gerritts, Mike Frase, Mike Weseli and Charlie Silver. Impressive!  I believe there is a Carmelite monastery in Hudson as well.
