Today we prayed at the grave of Francis Cardinal George (January 16, 1937 – April 17, 2015). #GoodShepherdSunday pic.twitter.com/trDPRxEPPt— St John Cantius (@SJCantius) April 18, 2016
As someone noted on Twitter, I presume the Cathedral doesn't have a crypt chapel to bury their bishops.

This is so wonderful to see. I attended His Eminence's wake and couldn't believe the man we'd shaken hands with was so lifeless. Thank you for the reminder of his passing and the reminder to pray for him. Let's not forget to pray for Chicago, too. I wrote a little about our experience in the Archdiocese of Chicago and with Cardinal George here: https://exignenatus.wordpress.com/2015/12/08/chicago-americas-orphanage/
The Cardinal requested to be buried with his parents...The Canons of Saint John Cantius.....a great group of men in the service of the Church.
Thank you for the info anon!
