Baker, a McDonell Area Catholic Schools graduate who attended Notre Dame and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic churches in Chippewa Falls[D.Lax.], is the youngest son of Kay and Mark Baker of Chippewa Falls.
He started college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which is where he chose to pursue the ordained priesthood.
What's the polite way of saying I'd rather be ordained in the Diocese of Madison than my home diocese? Going to UW-Madison it a totally legit reason, BTW. But if a guy just wants to go to a place with a healthy Catholic environment with no other reason...
