“Be attentive to receive mercy and be eager to give mercy and help,” said Bishop Robert C. Morlino of Madison to more than 50 pilgrims before they headed off to World Youth Day 2016 in Poland. The bishop celebrated a send-off Mass for them at the Bishop O’Connor Center today before they boarded the bus to Chicago for their flight overseas. More the 90 young people from the Diocese of Madison are headed to the pilgrimage that takes place every three years at various locations around the world. I can't help but notice that the Bishop is facing the people here instead of talking to the wall.
What?
I crack myself up.
I remember our send off for WYD 2005 in Cologne, Germany. I hope those going to Poland have a powerful, positive, and life enriching experience and thus intern enrich our Church.
Amen!
