Alabama man who created Good Help Shrine replica dies at 91

Even though he recently retired from full-time work at the Grotto, Schwaiger’s passion for nurturing and expanding Zoettl’s vision remained strong. His most recent update to the Grotto’s displays came in 2014, when the abbey dedicated one of his last creations — a replica of the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help. The replica was modeled after the original structure in Champion, Wisconsin.
