Dubuque couple adopts triplets from mother in crisis pregnancy

As Cari Campbell scrolled through the content of her Facebook newsfeed one day last August, the post of a friend living in Oregon caught her attention.

Campbell could not have foreseen at the time how quickly that social media post would turn her world upside down or the way in which God was about to bless her and her husband’s lives, threefold.
................
She learned that her friend’s mother was the pastor in a prayer group at a Christian clinic in Oregon. A woman there was pregnant with triplets but was planning on having an abortion if she couldn’t find someone to adopt all three of the children together.

The pregnant woman had contacted an agency and had found several people who wanted to adopt one of the babies but not anyone who would adopt all three.

Abp. Listecki grateful for all those who donated to Milwaukee crisis pregnancy centers

Having just finished Thanksgiving, we all need a gentle reminder to see our lives and the people in them as blessings. Wanting to practice what I preach, I am extending to you my Love One Another and Herald of Hope readers, a Thank You for your gracious response to Our Blessed Mother’s Baby Shower. Your generosity produced 3 booster seats, 4,844 diapers, 194 outfits, 12 hats, 15 baby blankets, 6 bibs, 19 packages of wipes, 2 pairs of socks, 1 pair of mittens, 1 soft infant toy, 1 infant safety kit and $3,000 in cash. The items and cash donations were distributed to the Women’s Care Center (1441 N. Farwell Ave., Milwaukee) and Women’s Support Center (2051 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee).

Our Lady, the Blessed Mother, invaded my thoughts. She asked me to extend to all who offered gifts her gratitude and requested that I offer a rosary for your intentions. If blessings come flowing into your lives, know that it was prayers being offered for you.

Remember, when you’re good to Mother, Mother is good to you. To paraphrase George M. Cohan, God the Father thanks you, His Son thanks you, the Holy Spirit thanks you and I thank you – as you use your generosity.

A&A Alexandrina Center Spring Gala April 17th - support a local Crisis Pregnancy Center!

For 23 years A&A Alexandrina Center, Northeastern Wisconsin’s premiere crisis pregnancy center, has been providing support for mothers and their babies. The all-volunteer organization – the only known all-volunteer pregnancy center in the area and possibly the country -- continues its dedication to women and children regardless of religious, ethnic, or cultural backgrounds, providing material assistance, moral support, resources, and supplies for all who ask. In addition the organization continues to shelter women and their newborn babies in a comfortable home, helping them to nurture their little ones in a residential setting with loving attention and guidance from experienced mothers and grandmothers.

In order to continue this mission the organization is planning its annual Spring Gala on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Riverside Ballroom, Green Bay. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go toward helping moms and their babies, and helping to keep the Center and the MOMs house in operation. You are invited to participate in this work by:
  1. Donating a quality gift or service and be acknowledged at the banquet as one of our sponsors.
  2. Purchasing a corporate table sponsorship. A table consists of eight seats for $300; these can be used for your company, or made available to others. Your company logo and your sponsorship will be acknowledged on the big screen and at your table.
  3. Purchase a table, for $240, or individual seats at $30, bring friends, bid on items and enjoy the evening that feathers Dan Miller of Pro-Life Wisconsin.
Your contributions are tax deductible because A&A Alexandrina Center is a 100 percent non-profit 501c3 entity. Any support is generously appreciated in this local charitable Catholic work that has helped thousands of women in the area over the years.

Cdl. Burke to be honored by crisis pregnancy center

Good Counsel Homes is a private Catholic agency whose primary mission is to help homeless pregnant women by providing a loving family environment in a safe and secure shelter. Begun in 1985 by Friar Benedict Groeschel and Christopher Bell, both leaders in the pro-life movement, Good Counsel has grown to five homes in the New York greater metropolitan area.

Our Lumina ministry has developed an outstanding program for those suffering as a result of a past abortion, through retreats as well as educational and training outreach. Theresa Bonopartis, our director, and co-developer of the “Entering Canaan” post-abortion ministry with The Sisters of Life, has also, with The Franciscan Friars of Renewal, expanded the program with Lumina, to assist post-abortive men and siblings, and those who have aborted because of an adverse diagnosis.
