The Anniversary of the Miracle of the Fire is one of the most moving spiritual experiences of which I have partaken. I have a work thing on the 9th so I don't know if I will be able to stay for Mass but I've gotta find a way to get there for the procession. Specifically the reading of the account... we must not forget this event, dare I say mediate on this mystery. The fire did not consume those under Our Lady of Wisconsin's protection. Her message to Saint Adele Brise was one of, ahem, catechesis, teaching of the Faith.
PS. Brand new website without the crazy lady! .... seems like less information out there though, perhaps a work in progress.

While I usually prefer my Miracles "on Ice" I've always been interested in the peshtigo fire. And how, as usual, Chicago had to upstage everybody else.
LOL!
