The seminarians are studying there as part of their preparation for the priesthood.
"While I got to greet the Holy Father personally before Mass, there was nothing like kneeling in front of the altar with the pope celebrating Mass above the bones of St. Peter and the Holy Spirit window shining behind him," one of the seminarians, Joseph Baker, wrote on his Facebook page.
Baker is from the Chippewa Falls area and attended UW-Madison, said Brent King, a diocesan spokesman. The other seminarian who took part was Andrew Showers of Madison, who grew up attending a Monona parish, King said.
