Pro-Life WI Announces Retirement of Peggy Hamill, Names Dan Miller as Successor

On Saturday, October 25, Pro-Life Wisconsin’s State Director Peggy Hamill was pleased to announce that Pro-Life Wisconsin board member Daniel Miller will succeed her as State Director following her planned retirement from that role on January 1, 2015. This announcement was made at Pro-Life Wisconsin’s Annual Auction Dinner in Oconomowoc.

A veteran sidewalk counselor and longtime coordinator for 40 Days for Life, Miller brings years of experience in organizing and inspiring pro-lifers to defend the dignity of every human person. Miller will be responsible for all Pro-Life Wisconsin outreach, educational, and legislative initiatives related to Pro-Life Wisconsin’s ongoing mission to protect human life without compromise and without exception.  Prior to joining Pro-Life Wisconsin, Daniel Miller served as the Milwaukee coordinator for 40 Days for Life. Following a profound conversion experience, Miller dedicated his life to actively defending the unborn. Through his prayerful presence and compassionate witness, over 600 babies have been saved. Miller frequently travels throughout the state, speaking to pro-life groups and inspiring them to act on their convictions.

Interesting year in Wisconsin also with the retirement of Barbara Lyons of WI Right to Life.  I am exited to have Dan at the helm.

Pro-Life Wisconsin stands with U.S. Catholic bishops in fight for religious freedom

Peggy Hamill speaking at Religious Freedom Rally
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has called for "A Fortnight for Freedom," during the two-week period from June 21 to July 4 -- beginning with the feasts of St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher and ending with Independence Day -- to focus “all the energies the Catholic community can muster” for religious liberty.

Pro-Life Wisconsin urges Wisconsinites to heed the call and make a difference.

State Director Peggy Hamill offered the following comments:

Birth control is being enshrined as an entitlement through the Health and Human Services mandate. This mandate, which requires virtually every health insurance plan to offer all FDA approved birth control and all sterilizations free of charge, is an attempt to force people of conscience to participate in what they know to be intrinsically immoral.”

“Pro-lifers are on the brink of being driven to civil disobedience to simply adhere to the gospel of life. We must recommit ourselves to combat the contraceptive mentality. We mourn the loss of the untold millions of babies lost to abortifacients. We pray for the Church, for employers, for individuals and for ourselves, asking God for the courage to stand strong in rejection of the mandate.”
