11 days until the beginning of Christmastime
O Antiphons begin Thursday
Oh, and this is the week to find a tree and start shopping!
Here is a very nice rendition of the Gaudete Introit. It's not the same as what I have heard at Mass, maybe someone who has more insight could explain. Is this version usable in the liturgy? I assume its Anglican by the looks of things in the video.

It is not unusual for 4-part renditions of the Propers to be sung for Mass.
Would I use that? Likely not, but...
What I like best is how they sound like they are actually rejoicing, like they are "excited" to sing it. Maybe not the best to be "excited" for Mass, as before long "excited" people bring in guitars and drums and then I get "excited" in a very, very different way. VERY different way.
Good singers AND good music work well together.
Notice, too, that the music "illuminates" the text. That is, the TEXT (Word) is primary and the music makes it clearer.
Ratzinger said that the music should be the 'enfleshment' of the Word-skeleton...
