St Gianna relics installed yesterday at Shrine

The relics of St. Gianna Beretta Molla will be displayed next to their paintings in the side aisles of the Shrine Church. This painting by Neilson Carlin(right) features the faces of real children in the La Crosse diocese whose parents prayed to the saint for assistance in conception and birth. St. Gianna is considered a pro-life saint.

A solemn celebration in honor of St. Gianna Beretta Molla will be April 25 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 5250 Justin Road. Holy Mass will be said  at 1 p.m., followed by a blessing for mothers and married couples; prayer and reflection on St. Gianna at 2 p.m.; veneration and installation of relic at 3 p.m.

I was hoping to go and get some pictures but due to weather and kids we ended up staying home. I think the only saint with a side altar that does not have relics is St. Peregrin.  The five other saint, Therese of Lisieux, Bl Miguel Pro, Gianna, Faustina, Maria Goretti do have relics on display at the altar.  Also Bl Miguel Pro and Bl Kateri Tekakwitha relics are installed in the main altar of the church.
