On December 30, Holy Mass will be offered at Saint John Cantius Parish in Chicago to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Father Hardon's death. The time of the Mass is 7:30pm. Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago, Joseph Perry will be the main celebrant and Father James Knapp, S.J. will be the homilist. Father Knapp is a ...professor of theology at Saint Louis University High School. Please pass this info. on to anyone who might be interested in attending. Also, for those in the Detroit area, a Mass will be offered at Saints Cyril and Methodius Parish at 7:30 on Dec. 30. Bishop Moses Anderson, SSE will be the main celebrant. Interesting enough, I do not think Fr. Hardon ever offered the older form of the Mass post VII out of obedience to superiors. The climate after Summorum Pontificum is certainly much different than what he lived through.
