And then, some silly people who are obsessed with abortion tried to spoil a good thing. Pro-life Wisconsin decided to be the grinches who stole Christmas. The wanted to interpret these joyous billboards as an anti-abortion message and instead of allowing people to feel the joy and inspiration and holiness that the birth of Jesus' symbolizes they wanted us to think about abortion. [You know us, always rejoicing in the thought of crushed skulls]The whole thing in Washington Post
This happens every Christmas. [Funny does Kissling stop being pro-abortion over the Christmas season?] It's a tough time for supporters of abortion rights who have just as much excitement and take just as much joy in expecting a [planned] baby [with no "defects"] in their family as does everyone else, but end up feeling defensive and grumpy about the baby Jesus being hijacked for political gain. [What political gains is Baby Jesus hoping to make?] Some pro-choice secular Grinch, at the National Secular Society in the UK had to go and complain that "The image is too specifically associated with pro-lifers to be seen in a benign context. They should go back to angels and cribs." [Well, cribs might be a little too offensive]
Well, I'm hoping that those of us [old hippies] who are pro choice here in America will allow ourselves to enjoy this modern depiction of the baby Jesus awaiting entry into the world in his mom's uterus. [Although she had every right to abort Him of course, under Roman law abortion was legal and practiced] It's a great and happy and anticipatory message. Mary and Joseph, certainly a nontraditional family[Ha!] and their precious baby boy are a perfect symbol for the complex modern world in which we live. [How?]
The new generation of abortion rights people do not slightly care what the Catholic Church teaches. No need to put up the façade of a "Catholic" group. At that point Catholycs for Choice can be renamed what it truly is, Planned Parenthood's Marketing Department.

Oh boo hoo cry me a river. These Catholycs need to repent, change their ways and return to following the Magisterium instead of being wishy-washy, immoral, relativistic Catholycs.
Love the billboard! The common good begins with respecting the most precious, innocent unborn babies right to life.
