Interview for "A Day With Mary" this Saturday in La Crosse

One thing that struck me is that these "A Day With Mary"s happen every weekend in the UK and that they at times get upwards of 1,000 people in attendance.  In fact, after talking with Fr. Peter Fehlner, I almost got the sense that it is like a charismatic movement for traditional Catholics - my words, not his.  But if you think about the charismatic movement and all the jumping and shaking of hands, would it not be possible for a deep and personal experience with the Holy Spirit and His Spouse without all the modern innovations?  Could it be that God deigned to dispence true charisms of the Holy Spirit through His Queen?  Could it be that Fatima, not Medjugorje, is bearing the best fruits of God?

The interview is now available at AirMaria.com I was accused of wearing Bears orange by a Bears fan. Hey, I came right from work and I didn't have time to stop at home and put on my pro-life Aaron Rodgers jersey okay?  As bewildered as I felt winging it, I think it actually went okay. I didn't embed it because it autoplays.  Don't forget to support the Friars!

You might like to know that the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe was originally a Shrine to Our Lady of Fatima.  The change in His Eminence's plan occurred when Blessed JPII visited Mexico naming Our Lady of Guadalupe, Star of the new Evangelization and Mother of the Americas.

I also heard off camera a story of a certain English Cardinal who is known as a liberal.  He was praying the rosary with a group of women in church when the local priest ran over and yelled at the women that they shouldn't be praying that in church and like he had told them before not mixed Marian devotion with Eucharistic devotions.   Obviously not seeing the cardinal, the cardinal turned and told him; "What would you know about it?  I like to pray the rosary in church with these women."  The canon ran away humiliated.

Hope to see you Saturday.  The kids screaming and getting pulled out would be mine.
