The month of Our Lady

Lucy Gutierrez, 7, rehearses the crowning of the Virgin Mary with the guidance of Kurt Keidl on Sunday before the 31st annual May crowning and procession at the Archdiocesan Marian Shrine at N. 68th and W. Stevenson St. in Milwaukee. After the crowning, about 300 people took part in a Eucharistic rosary procession around the neighborhood. The procession included members of the Knights of Columbus and two religious orders of nuns in traditional habits, as well as the faithful.
