Second girl accuses Kenosha priest of sexual comments

A second girl has come forward to allege that a Kenosha priest made sexually inappropriate comments to her on the telephone, and Kenosha Police are seeking two misdemeanor counts of unlawful use of a telephone against him, Sgt. James Heiring said Wednesday.

The Kenosha County district attorney's office said the case has not yet been reviewed.

Father Michael Nowak, pastor of St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, was placed on administrative leave by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee last week pending both the investigation. The archdiocese has said it will also conduct its own review.

The telephone calls were reported to police in early May.

Heiring would not divulge the ages of the girls, saying only that they are under 16.
